This is apart of the Synoptic Project for Next Gen Animation, VFX and Game Design. This game is apart of a project which has limited time which means that the game we are presenting is not fully finished but is a slice of the game which we have made. What is Withered Hearts?

From the creative mind Of Jodie Webster and Stone Golem Interactive, Withered Hearts is all about Daryl (The Player) wanting to see his loved one Alicia one more time before the withered infection plagues through his system.  Daryl unaware that AI has became the new normality and has took over the hosts of humans in order to feed The Machine (The Villain). This games takes the idea of AI taking over humanity in a horrifying twist where chances of breaking free of The Machine is slim. The Machine wants you to be aware of the horrifying end to which it shows Daryl what the future would look like as The Machine is the one who gave everyone the infection. 

What is The Machine?

The Machine is the villain of the story which was created by Professor Luther Troiani. His achievement caused mass outbreak of AI takeovers on human bodies. The Machine was meant to be the cause of hope for humanity when humanity slips into chaos but The Machine was exposed to so much violence and the horrible side of humanity to the point that it was the AI's job to fix everyone and rid them from violence.
